“At Nikon UK we have the utmost respect for John. His technical knowledge and photography skills, alongside his personality and presentation style, make him a first class host for much of our seminar and workshop activity”. Jeremy Gilbert. Group Marketing Manager Nikon UK Ltd.
Nikon UK Ltd
As mentioned in my bio section I was extremely proud to work for Nikon Corporation for a number of years as their ‘Advisor Of Photography’ in the Uk. I remain humbled that they continue to utilise my skills these many years later.
My aim as their ‘Senior Evangelist’ is simply to help spread an understanding of their products and the best real world use of them. We guide people so they can maximise as much as possible of their investment in them.
In the last few years events have been based primarily at their Kingston-Upon-Thames training suite, but we increasingly visit various locations around the Uk with further locations planned.
I provide a range of specific ‘John Clements’ workshops and seminars for them, combining my knowledge of the system with my experience as a photographer working with it. These supplement their own informative equipment based options. Sometimes I am asked to step in and take some of their own for them. I certainly try to take things from the theoretical to the practical in a logical way no matter the course.
Cameras courses aside, much of my involvement is in providing the complete range of Speedlight training workshops, plus those on studio lighting, monochrome photography, close-Up photography and some software subjects.
Finally on the Nikon score we have also seen many of you at various Nikon events such as ‘Solutions Expo’ in recent years at London, Manchester and Bristol, where we have tried to entertain and inform during the fashion cat-walk shows and Creative Lighting demonstrations. Each year we are often on the Nikon booth at Focus On Imaging providing short talks or helping the Nikon team answering the technical questions they get in such large numbers.
Why not have a look at what is currently on the www.nikon.co.uk/training site anyway, as they offer an increasingly wide program of options.
