Advanced Portable (Strobe) Flash…

Many Canon and Nikon users in particular, but not exclusively, have enjoyed over the years our ‘Mastering Portable (Strobe) Flash workshops.

This starts from the basics, then moves on too some advanced capabilities, surprising many in it’s scope and the information that sets them up for a lifetime of flash shooting.

I am very pleased to say that the next level, for the advanced enthusiast or pro, is taking place at Park Cameras on Friday (25th November).

Taking a real world approach, using my decades of off camera portable flash as a professional photographer, it is invaluable for those who understand the basics, but want or need to turn that into everyday pro quality results.

Based on real situations, I share lighting knowledge, how I use third party accessories including radio release systems, and light shaping tools to make it all work.

People seem to enjoy a lot, those things we explain and do on our ‘Studio Lighting From The Ground-Up’ workshop.

Even those who have done quite a bit already,  are surprised at just how much we cover. The scope of the content brings my decades of experience of use in the real world to the subject.

So delegates leave with clear explanations and some fine shots.  I can often see in peoples faces the excitement and desire to get back to base and put it into practice.

Getting Closer…

I am pleased to say that for anyone with an interest in creating or learning about good Close-Up and macro photography, we have two courses on the near horizon.

First on September 7th, in conjunction with Park Cameras, we have a workshop ideal for anyone, regardless of the camera system used. Click Here.

Then on September 16th, we have our dedicated too Nikon workshop at Nikon UK Ltd. Click Here.

Both days marry a practical, easy to follow approach, with the chance to take some fine images. Alongside, we show the tips of the trade for exposure, lighting composition and many other shooting aspects.

Taking things from the basics for those starting out, or simply benefiting from a reminder, there are some more advanced aspects for the more experienced shooter.

We will be happy of course to discuss the equipment you use or plan to use, but will major on good technique.

Flash Photography Workshop On Saturday…

On Saturday we will be presenting our popular ‘Mastering Portable (Strobe) Flash’ course at Park Cameras.

Always well received, it opens up a lifetime of useful and real world information about flash photography, not just for the equipment you use now, but going into the future.

People seem to like the sytle of presentation and the ground covered, which is far more than most initially realise.

Suitable for any system, we major in the practical shooting demonstrations on using Canon and Nikon equipment.

Delegates are however encouraged to bring their own items, so they can follow what is being explained, ask relevant questions to their equipment and subject, plus of course shoot some of the imagery if they wish.
